Many philanthropists lose their momentum, succumbing to either funder fatigue or overwhelm from the scale of the problems they are working towards. Or they hit a plateau – reaching a certain point in their journey but not being able to go beyond it.
In this engaging half-day workshop with Sharath Jeevan, we’ll look at how you can avoid the Direction, Potential, Motivation and Learning Traps in your philanthropic journey. We’ll explore how to set yourself, your team and your partners up for success, so that you can have an outsized impact on the organisations and leaders you fund – and on the world at large. We’ll cover everything from how to harness your unique philanthropic perspective in a deeply authentic way, to play a deeply nurturing role to your partners.
Sharath is a globally recognised adviser and author on the topic of inflection moments. He advises leading global corporations and non-profits as well as leading corporate and private foundations such as the Vitol Foundation, Innovation Foundation (Adecco Foundation) and Jacobs Foundations.
This will be a powerful opportunity to share experiences, reflect and learn together with a group of peers all through the morning. This will be followed by a lunch and a chance to engage with peers in a more informal setting.
This is open and suitable for anyone wanting to dive into their motivation, how to harness the energy of looking ahead after the summer, and to build on your own leadership skills.
