This Month’s Focus: Join us for an engaging session on Philanthropy and Animal Welfare with speakers from PETA. We are pleased to welcome Kathy Guillermo, Senior Vice President of Laboratory Investigations, and Tricia Cummings, Director of Special Gifts, who will share her 20+ years of experience partnering with PETA within the Canadian philanthropic sector.
Speaker Bios
Kathy Guillermo is PETA’s Senior Vice President, Laboratory Investigations.
For nearly 30-years, Kathy, has worked to expose and end cruelty to animals in the experimentation and horse racing industries. She’s spearheaded landmark PETA victories against government agencies like NASA and the U.S. Military and major corporations like Unilever. She’s an author and has written, Monkey Business: The Disturbing Case That Launched the Animal Rights Movement
Tricia Cummings joins us from Vancouver and is the Director of Special Gifts.
Tricia studied science before beginning her career in the philanthropic sector with a billion-dollar asset foundation providing grants throughout North America. What she thought would be a summer job turned out to be her passion. She has held several senior leadership positions at Canadian foundations and led donor-advised fund and international giving programs. She’s worked with PETA through partnerships and directly for over 20 years.
