In Democracy Action Lab, we ask: What strategies and interventions will contribute to the long-term vitality of liberal democracy in the United States and around the world?
Since the attempted overthrow of the 2020 election, pro-democracy groups have been preparing for the possibility of contested results and delayed outcomes. Gilda Daniels from Campaign Legal Center will join us to share how CLC is preparing for this likelihood. CLC works to help states meet newly clarified election certification deadlines and requirements, counter misinformation, mobilize state coalitions to respond to election crises, and coordinate legal responses to a range of sabotage scenarios. In this last DAL before the election, join CLC and fellow funders to understand some of the on-the-ground preparations for the post-election period, including what will happen to counter efforts to overturn legitimate electoral results.
We will have 15-minute pre-session “office hours” at 9:45am PST | 12:45pm EST open to anyone interested in joining early to ask specific democracy-related questions of our facilitators and/or Forward Global peers (or simply to say hello).
