In our first DAL session of 2024, facilitator Emily Thielmann will present a taxonomy of the field developed by Democracy Funders Network and partners. From this shared vocabulary and common understanding, Emily will offer a targeted set of recommendations for thinking about giving in an election year. This interactive session will be especially helpful for newcomers and the global-democracy-funding-curious, as we’ll explore how donors decide what, how, where, and when to fund. For experienced funders, join us for this refresher and an opportunity to discuss strategic considerations such as the tradeoffs between short and long-term priorities.
As always, optional Office Hours will be held 15 minutes prior to the session. Drop in with any questions for our facilitators or staff, feedback, or just to say hello.
*Note different time – we will resume our regular schedule of 4th Wednesdays at 1pm ET/10am PT on February 28, when we’ll dive into the legal definitions, limits, and opportunities of c3s, c4s, and more.
