We are absolutely thrilled to invite you to our first-ever Forward Global Adventure, taking us to Morocco, combining an incredible opportunity to come together with fellow peers and leaders in an extraordinary location, focusing on impact, the environment, geopolitical encounters, and, of course, adventure. Our time together is designed to be both intellectually enriching and physically engaging.
Our Adventure will take us from the bustling markets of Marrakech to the serene Atlas Mountains, along the windswept Atlantic coast, and into the mesmerising Sahara Desert. Along the way, we’ll engage with local communities, experience authentic Moroccan culture, and witness both traditional and modern aspects of the fascinating North African kingdom. This carefully crafted itinerary balances cultural immersion, natural beauty, community engagement, and culinary delights.

Each region carries its own rhythm, shaped by generations of knowledge, culture, and movement. In the bustling medinas, in the silence of the desert, in the warmth of shared meals — Morocco speaks through everyday life, not fantasy.
What truly defines the country, though, is its people. Ancient traditions being both passed down, and reinvented. Youth-led tech ventures working toward sustainability and social justice. Women’s cooperatives offering new approaches to crafts and culture. These are not stories of contrast — ancient versus modern — but of continuity, reinvention, and purpose.
Today’s Morocco is also looking ahead. It is investing boldly in renewable energy and circular economies. It is home to artists, scientists, and social entrepreneurs building inclusive, climate-resilient futures. Visitors come to learn, to collaborate, to listen — not just to be inspired, but to engage.
To travel here is to step into a dynamic society — one that welcomes guests with generosity to learn and share, together.

Here is a snapshot of what awaits:
Day 1: Arrival & Exploration of Marrakech
Participants arrive in Marrakech with East Coast flights landing in the morning and West Coast arrivals in the early afternoon, where private drivers will handle airport transfers. The day includes a guided exploration of the historic Medina, a UNESCO World Heritage site filled with vibrant souks and centuries-old architecture. We’ll conclude our first evening with dinner at the renowned Dar Yacout.
Day 2: The Atlas Mountains
We’ll depart Marrakech in the morning for the stunning Ourika Valley, a scenic 1 hour 15 minute van journey into the Atlas Mountains. Our adventure includes a guided hike along the famous Path of the Seven Waterfalls, followed by lunch by the river. In the afternoon, we’ll descend to Au Rocher hotel, which has been exclusively reserved for Forward Global, where we’ll enjoy a traditional dinner and an authentic live dance show before settling in for the night.
Day 3: Atlantic Coast (Essaouira)
We’ll drive from the Atlas Mountains to the coastal city of Essaouira, beginning with a morning meeting with a local NGO, followed by a special session with André Azoulay, the distinguished Moroccan politician, activist, and diplomat. In the afternoon, we’ll meet with Bahri NGO, founded by Saad Abid, an environmental activist, social entrepreneur, and former surfing champion who invented “The Chbika” tool to remove microplastics from sand and water (work that earned him an invitation to the White House by President Obama). The day concludes with an exclusive dinner in Essaouira and a sunset camel ride along the Atlantic coastline before staying overnight at Hôtel des Îles.
Day 4: The Desert
We’ll take a private flight from Essaouira to Errachidia, then embark on an hour-long drive to Merzouga, the gateway to the Sahara Desert. Upon arrival at Yasmina Luxury Camp, we’ll experience camel rides across the dunes, participate in a traditional bread-making workshop to connect with local customs, and enjoy an evening concert featuring local musicians. The day concludes with dinner and an unforgettable night sleeping under desert stars.
Day 5: Moulay Ali Cherif-Arfoud-Rabat (History)
We begin with a visit to the Moulay Ali Cherif Mausoleum, paying respects to the 17th-century religious leader from the Tafilalt region who founded the Alaoui Dynasty, Morocco’s ruling family since the 1630s. After this meaningful cultural connection, we’ll take a private flight from Errachidia to Rabat, the nation’s capital. Our guided tour of Rabat’s historic landmarks includes the iconic Hassan Tower and the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, followed by exploring the ancient Kasbah of the Oudayas. The day offers free time to discover more of the capital at your own pace before settling in for the night at Borj Rabat.
Day 6: Rabat
We’ll start the morning with a discovery tour of Rabat’s historic Medina, accompanied by Forward Global member Lamya Alaoui for an authentic shopping experience. The evening features an exclusive private dinner with distinguished Moroccan leaders from political, economic, and aristocratic circles, offering unique insights into the country’s leadership landscape. The highlight of the evening will be a keynote address by the Minister of Environment & Economy, providing perspectives on Morocco’s current priorities and future direction. We will stay at the elegant Borj Rabat.
Day 7: Casablanca & Closing Dinner
We’ll drive from Rabat to Casablanca and begin with a meaningful visit to the Oum Keltoum Foundation, where we’ll engage with women, children, and teachers. We will also have tea at the fountain. The afternoon takes us to a traditional farm near Casablanca, where we’ll connect with local NGOs and enjoy an authentic Moroccan farm lunch that showcases the region’s agricultural heritage. Our journey concludes with a group dinner and farewell celebration in Casablanca, reflecting on the week’s experiences before spending our final night at the Kenzi Tower Hotel.

We launched our new initiative, Forward Global Adventures, at our Global Summit in Los Angeles in March 2025, building on the interest and desire for impact leaders to travel together, create opportunities for sharing connections, and skills.
This exciting new initiative builds and expands on the success of our highly valued Global Journeys that we have run over the past 30 years. The success of our Global Journeys lies in the deep pedagogy offered that enables our members to accelerate their learning and action through highly curated educational journeys.
Forward Global Adventures is a new offering, widening our reach and providing more tailored experiences for a range of interests, and responding to the interests of our community – and beyond – who have continually expressed a desire to travel alongside values-aligned and humble do-ers, and to be able to travel in groups and with Adventures that are curated for families, for next gen, and some with an adventurous spirit at their heart, offering opportunities to bond, learn and connect through deeply immersive experiences.
Morocco’s situation, geography, culture and politics make it geopolitically significant, and a fascinating place to learn about global challenges and opportunities, amidst the backdrop of a highly rich culture that varies from city to city, region to region.

What’s new and exciting about our Adventures is that we are welcoming impact seekers from outside our immediate community, offering an opportunity to broaden your network further, and meet people tackling global issues from multiple leverage points – where that’s philanthropy, investing, business, government or through their local communities.
Our Morocco Adventure is open to all Forward Global members.
Future Adventures will offer a chance to travel within curated groups. In October 2026, we will journey to Kenya.
Forward Global Adventures is designed to create an opportunity to come together with impact leaders seeking change, inspiration and an opportunity to connect with peers who share a desire for collaborative impact in their work.
In addition to the adventuring portion, you will have time to explore, rest, bond with fellow travellers, and experience all that Morocco has to offer, from the bustling medinas, to the culinary delights, and ever-changing colours of the landscapes we’ll find ourselves in.

Forward Global is delighted to have partnered with explorer, former Olympic Skier and community-builder Thomas Domenach, to deliver this Adventure in partnership. Thomas hails from France, has lived all over the world, and has delivered high-end Journeys for clients across the globe with a focus on impact following a career at the highest level in sport. He brings a wealth and diversity of knowledge and experience to elevate Forward Global’s work.
This first Forward Global Adventure will have a strict registration cap of 14 people with places given on a first-come first-served basis, so we encourage you to register as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
The registration fee for the Journey is $15,000 USD. The cost is inclusive of all hotels, food and internal travel from the night of Sunday 19th October, until the close of our trip on the morning of Sunday 26th October. It does not include the price of international flights, travel insurance, tips and personal costs.
Registration can be cancelled with a full refund of the programme fee up until 31st July, or with a 50% cancellation fee between 1st August and 15th September, 2025. We unfortunately cannot offer refunds after 15th September 2025.

We will meet in Marrakech on Sunday 19th October, 2025. We will formally begin with an Opening Dinner that evening, but encourage you to arrive earlier in order to explore the medina.
We will close the Adventure in Casablanca, after breakfast on Sunday 26th October. We encourage you to book flights either from Casablanca any time that day, or – if travelling back from Marrakech – to look for afternoon flights to enable time for the three-hour drive back to Marrakech.
This covers all accommodation, internal transportation (includes flights to the desert), food, excursions and honoraria payments to the organisations that we will meet.
It does not include international flights, travel insurance, personal costs or tips.

Yes. While we are aware of the limitations of carbon offsetting, we are confident, based on the impact of past journeys, that the overall impact of the programme will be positive. We are keeping climate and sustainability at the heart of every Adventure, and in our decision-making around who we work with, based on their own climate ethos and credentials.
