Following the afternoon session, “From Risk to Responsibility: What Funders Can Do,” Forward Global and Philanthropic Foundations Canada, in partnership with the Trottier Foundation, will host an intimate funder roundtable dinner with Yoshua Bengio, hosted by Forward Global Member Claire Trottier in Montreal.
This invitation-only dinner is reserved for funders ready to commit a minimum of $25,000 to AI safety in Canada by the end of 2026. Limited to twelve participants, the evening is designed for a focused, working conversation among those positioned to act.
Together, we will think through where capital is most urgently needed, from technical safety research and governance infrastructure to civil society organizations working at the intersection of AI and human rights.
What to expect:
- An intimate dinner conversation with Yoshua Bengio, hosted by Claire Trottier
- A working session on capital allocation across AI safety priorities
- Direct exchange with a small group of committed funders
- Concrete next steps for deploying pledged capital
