Global Democracy Series: Brazil, Narrative & Democracy Infrastructure
December 1 @ 5:00 pm – 6:30 pm UTC-0
The October 2026 election in Brazil will be a defining moment for all of Latin America, and the wider world. In this session, we make sense of the results and what they mean, as well as taking a longer-term view of what democratic infrastructure is most needed in Brazil over the long-term.
With misinformation becoming a defining feature of Brazilian democracy, we shine a light on interventions designed to strengthen a healthy information environment, with globally applicable learnings. We will be led by experts from the region, as well as Forward Global members from Brazil who have been active in this area.
As with all sessions in this series, we will stay practical action-oriented by referencing and updating the pathways to action for members who want to engage in this area – signposting towards pooled funds and other easy buttons, strategic advisors, and other opportunities to engage.
