Led by Wanda Brascoupe and Nicole McDonald from Indigenous Philanthropy Advisors, this session offers a relational space to reflect on how philanthropy can meaningfully support Indigenous-led work. Through storytelling, shared learning, guided dialogue and proven approaches, participants will explore how humility, reciprocity, and long-term relationship-building can reshape funding practices. We will examine how funders can step back from prescriptive approaches and instead walk alongside Indigenous leaders—investing time, resources, and trust in values-aligned partnerships. This is not a technical workshop; it is an invitation to slow down, listen deeply, and engage with Indigenous approaches to collaboration that center respect, accountability, and care.
NOTE: There will be an optional trip to the Soul of the Mother Lodge on September 18th, 2025 (10am-3pm) in Caledonia, Ontario.
