Join us for a site visit to explore the world of local news through the eyes of journalists in the lead up to the 2025 Global Summit. We will learn about how journalism amplifies lesser known stories and honors culture and community across the diverse and vibrant city of Los Angeles. Our site visit hosts are LA Taco, a news outlet reporting at the nexus of food, culture, and community across Los Angeles and Boyle Heights Beat, a nonprofit news organization reporting in Spanish and English by and for the neighborhood of Boyle Heights. Organized by Forward Global in collaboration with Press Forward, this is an opportunity to immerse yourself in the local journalism beat, hearing from street-level reporters and perhaps even sampling some delicious tacos.
