What does it mean to truly reckon with where your wealth comes from — and what it’s cost?
Money Stories is one of Liberated Capital’s most beloved programs, and we’re proud to host this session in partnership with Forward Global. Each episode is an intimate, one-on-one virtual conversation between Decolonizing Wealth Project’s Founder and CEO, Edgar Villanueva, and someone willing to share their personal relationship with money: how their wealth was acquired, the beliefs and emotions tied to it, and the ongoing journey of using money as medicine.
This session features Chad Dyer. After 12 years as Chief Information Officer at Sequoia Capital, Chad pivoted to capital activism in 2020. He is co-founder and steward of kinflow, a Just Transition family office—a team of personal, financial, legal, tax, and philanthropic partners for anyone trying to define “enough,” unlock surplus, and mobilize all their resources in service of belonging, wellbeing, justice, and joy. kinflow enables wealth holders to actualize their best intentions with specific, actionable decisions that move people from a feeling of burden to a feeling of flow.
Chad is a partner at Full Spectrum Group and a Just Economy Institute fellow. He serves on advisory circles for Movement Strategy Center, the Village SF project, Anawakalmekak in Los Angeles, Center for NuLeadership in Brooklyn, and Refugee Can Be. He is also a member of Forward Global and Solidaire, a member of the Collaborative for Repair at Liberation Ventures, and supports labor organizing via Democracy Takes Work and men’s organizing through the Perennial Sunflower Project.
Chad is a musician, tennis player, grateful father of two adult daughters, and partner to Tenah. He joins us to share his journey from conventional wealth spaces to purpose-aligned action.
These conversations are healing, for the storyteller and for everyone listening. They normalize what so often goes unspoken: the grief, the confusion, the complexity, and the possibility that lives inside wealth. By putting a human face on these experiences, Money Stories invites each of us into deeper vulnerability, self-compassion, and action.
This is a members-only event, held virtually. Recordings are available exclusively to the Forward Global and Liberated Capital communities.
