New Economy Action Lab | Worker Ownership & Unions

The goals of the New Economy Action Lab are to help participants:

1. • Better understand the perspectives, values and commitments that shape the “New Economy” movement.
2. • Better understand the role of wealth-holders within the New Economy movement, and how this aligns with their personal goals and strategy.
3. • Find actionable opportunities aligned with the New Economy movement.

In this session, we look at the role of worker organising and ownership as a crucial tool for building a more democratic economy. We will be joined by Julian McKinley–Director for partnerships and growth at the Democracy at Work Initiative–and Rebecca Lurie, professor of Urban Studies and founder of the Community and Worker Ownership Project at the City University of New York
