Inspired by a recent event hosted by Amnesty UK and Civic Power fund, we are collaborating with a company that runs gamified simulations of real-world crises. On November 17, you will experience how it would feel to fund and support social impact under a newly elected authoritarian government in the UK – who has eyes on the Charity Commission, and a radical agenda to deliver. Working in small teams, you will make decisions under time pressure, choosing what to fund, how to collaborate, and if / when to engage with media and Government.
Like all games, the experience is powerful because it offers the chance to take risks, experiment, fail and learn, all in a safe and secure environment. The depth of learning, connection and inspiration can be far deeper than in theoretical conversations. As with all Forward Global programmes, we will seek to build a brave space – designing to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all participants, while allowing for discomfort and growth.
