The laws of physics have not changed – and in fact are key to understanding the risks associated with changes in climate. Climate change and weather events are having an increasingly devastating impact on companies, communities and capitalists. Actions spearheaded by philanthropists and governments should focus on initiatives that have lasting impact, more than simply “doing good.” And business and investors should focus on cross-sector models, approaches, and solutions that address both climate risk and emissions because such action will drive value in the short and long term.
