Mental Health
Are you interested in or currently funding mental health, wellbeing or other interconnected issues? Join this group to be in community with thoughtful peers who are eager to connect with fellow funders, are curious about others and are actively thinking through their own strategies and decisions related to mental health, wellbeing and overlapping issues.
This group first came together at the 2024 Forward Global Summit in NYC, as a chance to convene members who care about mental health and wellbeing. There was so much energy at that first meeting and many who wanted to join after that this peer group took shape and continues to evolve. While there are other mental health funder groups and collaboratives that many members are actively involved in, this group makes the space for members to share and discuss what is both personal and strategic as many have a personal story as to why they are dedicated to this area.
We meet approximately every month for 60-75 minutes. Sessions vary from being discussion based on important questions members all grappling with, to learning from external experts on key topics related to mental health, to workshopping ideas and supporting one another. Collectively, the group is committed to building a healthier and more resilient society and wants to support and be a resource to others who share that same goal.
If you care about mental health and wellbeing, whether you are already funding in this space or related areas or are keen to connect with and learn from other members, this peer group is for you. Each member brings their own unique experience, questions, approach, and personal story, and it’s the mixing of all with openness to asking questions and supporting one another that make the group unique.
Members are welcome to join at any point in the year. While you do not need to join for every session, we acknowledge that committing to the group helps build greater trust, depth and connection with your fellow members that ultimately makes the group as a whole more valuable too. This is especially true given the personal aspect that many members bring to this topic in particular.
